Brave

The new Pixar movie is called Brave... It looks totally awesome!!! The feel of it is very different from anything they have ever done before... I am very excited about the Celtic theme it has... :)

Artistry Make-over

This past week-end, a friend of mine who sells Artistry did a make-over on me. I think it is the part of me that likes to be the center of attention that makes me like it when people do my make-up, nails, hair, ect... :)

I wasn't too sure about the blue eye shadow at first, because I have never been able to do blue on myself before... But apparently I did it wrong, and Casie did it right because it looks pretty good... :)

This is my absolute favorite dress... I can wear it with a t-shirt or a cute white sweater... And it is so summery!!! :D

Me, Myself, and I

I was playing around the other day with our camera and this is what came out of it. They say a good photographer may take a hundred pictures and only get a few good ones out of it... Well, I took about 150 and got 5... :)

This one is definitely the best... Profile pic material... :)

I played around with the color saturation on these... This one is with less saturation... It gives it a vintage look... :)

Vintage Apron Project

My chore is the kitchen... and I hate it... So to try to motivate myself to do a better job, I want to make a couple of cute aprons to wear while I am doing the dishes... :)

This is a super cute vintage pattern that we have been meaning to use for a while and the fabric I want to use. The floral prints are very vintage, no??? And I want to do more than one so that I can match my apron to my outfit... ;)

I am planning on doing the one on the bottom left... :)

Cars 2

Pixar has up to this point done their sequels brilliantly so I was pretty optimistic about the new Cars sequel. We saw it in 3D on opening night at the 11:10 showing... I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved all the new characters and all the cool spy things they did. 

That being said, I don't think it was quite up to par with the other Pixar films. It had alot of cheesy one-liners and was on the whole just... cheesy. But I am a fan of cheese so I didn't mind... :)

I Got the Job!!!

I feel like this is an unusual thing... I turned in applications at three places, was interviewed by one of those places, and now I have a job... That was too easy... The Lord must have been involved!!! :) I am so thankful that I was accepted at the library... The hours will allow me to also take the kitchen job at my church's Christian school... So I will be working in conjunction with two of my biggest passions... The Lord's work and books!!! Praise the Lord!!! :)

This past Monday I went to a job interview at the library. I had a tough time deciding what to wear... The library isn't an executive position, but it isn't McDonalds either... A friend reminded me, though, that it is always better to overdress for an interview... So I went with this... :)

Yes, You Can Wear Red Lipstick Everyday

I bought this red lipstick for an event that I was going to in a 40's outfit. I didn't think I would use it all that much unless I went to other events in the same costume. Boy, was I wrong... I have since discovered tons of outfits it will go with. You know what I say about a splash of red in an outfit... ;)

Oh, and I got a new haircut too... :)

Tea and Sandwiches

I had some leftover watercress from my tea party this past weekend so I decided to make some cucumber sandwiches for snack today with a cup of tea... :)

Afternoon Tea Ministry

This past weekend, I hosted a tea party for some of my AWANA girls. It was a lot of fun picking out the different foods to make and setting out all of our dishes. I even did a little Bible lesson... I am not sure how well that went over... but I didn't do the tea to teach them a great spiritual truth... just to invest time in them :).

In the rush to get everything set out, I wasn't thinking about pictures... Good thing I have sisters that were... :)
